“Hello, my name is Mr. Anil Vasudev Dabhole. I live in Chiplun taluka, Kaviltali division. I am currently retired from a chemical company and am now engaged in some work at home. Earlier, no one came to our area apart from the municipality to collect garbage, wet waste, or plastic, causing a lot of trouble. It has to be assumed that if the wet garbage from the house was thrown out, the cattle outside were suffering and eating the plastic waste.

However, Sahyadri Nisarga Mitra, in collaboration with Dow Chemical International Private limited, initiated the activity of plastic waste collection. The use of plastic can’t be stopped, but they have undertaken a great project to recycle it. If you have the plastic waste in your house, you can call them, and they will collect it within 24 hours for recycling. Additionally, for wet waste, which includes kitchen waste, you can use a drum in your house for recycling to generate compost.By making compost, you can use it for plants. I have been doing this for four years now and am reaping great benefits from it. We are thankful to Sahyadri Nisarga Mitra and Dow for their initiative, which has facilitated the proper disposal of waste in our area.”
