Compost Unit Distribution for Sustainable Waste Management in Kanhe Village

As part of the Clean Village Campaign, Sahyadri Nisarga Mitra conducted an awareness and training session in Kanhe village on home composting and sustainable waste management practices. The programme introduced practical methods for managing household organic waste, encouraging villagers to convert kitchen waste into compost and reduce the amount of waste sent to dumping sites.

Following the training, compost units were distributed to participating households to support the adoption of home composting and waste segregation practices. The initiative promotes community-based solid waste management, improved village cleanliness, and environmentally responsible waste disposal.

The positive response from villagers highlights growing awareness about clean villages, organic waste recycling, and sustainable environmental practices.
