Budget: ₹25 Lakh | Duration: 1 Year

Dholes, also known as Indian wild dogs, who were limited to western ghats are now being seen in new areas in Konkan, including near the coast. Understanding their distribution is important as they are key predators and indicators of healthy forests. This project will use camera traps and interviews of stakeholders to study their movement and help fill knowledge gaps. It will also help to reduce human-wildlife conflict through better awareness.
